Things to Know Before Replacing Your HDB Metal Gate

Before installing a new metal gate, make sure it follows :

• The gate width, number of panels, and swing distance must match the original HDB gate.

• Leave at least 1m clearance from the gate to the corridor parapet wall when fully open.

• For units near staircases, the open gate must not block the staircase at any angle.

• Corner units should ensure that the gate doesn’t obstruct neighbors’ windows.
