The Aqara Smart Lock U400 Kit is one of the first Apple UWB-enabled smart locks, using advanced Ultra-Wideband technology to detect when you approach. Your iPhone or Apple Watch acts as a hands-free Apple Home Key, unlocking the door without tapping or entering codes.

Built for convenience, security, and durability, the U400 features:

You can also unlock using Apple Home Key in Apple Wallet via NFC on your iPhone or Apple Watch. Supported devices work even when powered off with Power Reserve, and you can securely share remote keys or create time-limited guest codes.

Apple Home Keys support two modes:

Secure Mode – requires Face ID or Passcode for added protection

You can store up to 50 fingerprints securely, protected by on-device AES encryption for maximum privacy.

Voice prompts and a half-lit keypad alert you when the battery reaches 20%, while the UWB indicator light changes from green to yellow as a reminder.

In case of emergency, you can use USB-C power from a power bank or any compatible phone to unlock the door, ensuring you never get locked out.

Quiet Mode and Auto-Locking with Aqara M100 Hub

The Aqara U400 features auto-locking that activates when the door closes, thanks to a built-in gyroscope. You can easily control it via the app, the Action Button, or voice prompts. Enable Do Not Disturb mode to lower the volume and mute non-essential notifications for a quieter home.

Create smart automations such as turning on lights, air conditioning, or cameras when the door unlocks. It also integrates seamlessly with the Video Doorbell G410, allowing you to see who’s at the door and unlock it in one smooth flow.

When paired with the Aqara M100 Hub, the U400 becomes a Matter Controller, giving you remote control for locking/unlocking, adding periodic passwords, and checking battery and lock status via the Aqara Home app. The Hub also supports automations and generates Matter pairing codes for integration with a wider range of ecosystem devices.
